Inspired by the iconic KORG Mono/Poly, the multi/poly synthesizer combines authentic analog sound with advanced digital technology, delivering rich, dynamic tones that stand out in any production. This software version fully replicates the hardware’s capabilities, offering seamless integration across macOS and Windows in multiple plugin formats such as VST3, AAX, and AU. Users can effortlessly share patches between hardware and software, enabling smooth collaboration and performance flexibility. Whether crafting sounds on the hardware interface or producing within a DAW, this synth provides a powerful and intuitive experience.
The multi/poly features four oscillators per program, including Classic analog-modeled, Digital wavetable, and innovative Waveshaper types, each delivering unique textures from thick analog warmth to complex digital timbres. Its filters have been meticulously redesigned to include a suite of vintage models, such as the classic Mono/Poly filter, MS-20 inspired filters, and ladder filters, all with authentic saturation and resonance characteristics. With dual filter slots per program and flexible routing options, users can create intricate soundscapes with stereo panning and continuous crossfading between filters. Additional sound-shaping tools include noise generators, ring modulators, and extensive modulation options that evoke the unpredictability and expressiveness of analog hardware.
Beyond its sonic capabilities, the multi/poly excels in modulation and performance features. It offers multiple envelopes, LFOs, mod processors, and an advanced Motion Sequencing 2.0 system for complex, evolving patterns. The innovative Kaoss Physics controller transforms simple gestures into rich modulation sources, adding a responsive, physical element to sound design. Multiple layers allow for program stacking, velocity and keyboard splits, and dynamic round-robin switching, expanding creative possibilities. High-quality onboard effects include compressors, delays, reverbs, and unique processors like wave shapers and modeled vintage guitar amps, delivering polished, production-ready sounds directly within your workflow.
