The PolyM is a meticulously crafted synthesizer that recreates the distinctive sound of its legendary predecessor. At its core are two T.O.D Oscillators featuring per-note pulse width modulation, a design initially developed to achieve expansive polyphony. Complementing this are a gritty 24db Ladder Filter inspired by Moog designs, an acoustic Filter Bank, and a resonator bank rich in character, all contributing to the instrument’s unique tonal palette. This combination delivers an authentic analog experience that excels in producing lush chords, strings, and pads.

Developed through an extensive two-year modeling process involving 71 components, the PolyM goes beyond simple emulation by unlocking parameters that were inaccessible on the original hardware. This allows users to deeply explore and modify the sound engine without physical hardware alterations. Additional features include a traditional analog VCA ADSR envelope, a variety of LFOs to modulate nearly every aspect of the sound, and a suite of vintage-style effects. These enhancements provide a broad sonic landscape that expands sound design possibilities while maintaining the classic character.

The PolyM also introduces innovative performance capabilities, such as a monophonic zero-delay self-oscillating filter that retriggers with keyboard input, enabling dynamic, expressive sounds unavailable in other synthesizers. Classic presets like 'Vox Humana' are included to showcase its signature tones. With version 1.1, the PolyM has extended its functionality by offering its renowned effects as a VST effect plugin compatible with any sound source. Additionally, it supports NKS integration and features a powerful preset manager with multi-criteria search, making sound selection and management quick and intuitive.
