While the Microwave XT offered more physical controls, it still did not provide full parameter access, limiting hands-on sound design flexibility. To bridge this gap, the Microwave 2 Remote Software allows users to control the Microwave 2 synthesizer directly from their digital audio workstation (DAW), providing a more convenient and intuitive way to create and modify sounds when the hardware is not within reach.

This application requires the original Waldorf Microwave 2 hardware to function, as it does not generate sound independently.
