ProtoPlasm is a synthesizer designed to create atmospheric sounds, soundscapes, pads, and textures with rich sonic depth. It features three digital PCM-wave oscillators offering a wide range of 128 unique waveforms, including many newly introduced options. Each oscillator’s level can be modulated through a flexible modulation matrix, allowing dynamic control over the sound design process. The instrument includes a dedicated Attack Oscillator with 50 waveforms and velocity control, enabling nuanced attack shaping for evolving sounds.

This synthesizer provides advanced modulation capabilities such as Super Modulation Morphing controlled by the mod wheel and a modulation matrix that supports both positive and negative inputs for LFOs. It features two distinct filters: a 24 dB low-pass filter and a 12 dB high-pass filter, both equipped with ADSR envelopes, filter frequency modulation, and key tracking for expressive tonal adjustments. Additionally, ProtoPlasm offers multiple LFOs with BPM-synced pattern-like waveforms and a shapeable sample & hold unit, expanding the scope for rhythmic and evolving modulation effects.

ProtoPlasm includes a stereo delay with tempo sync and an innovative LKO delay system with four key-dependent modes for creative timing effects. Output levels for direct, low-pass, and high-pass signals can be adjusted independently, each with separate panning options to craft spacious stereo images. The interface features Lazy buttons that streamline parameter control for oscillators, filters, LFOs, and related settings. The Pro version further enhances sound design by supporting external SoundFont and WAV file loading, expanding the palette with custom samples and textures.
