Released in 1981, the Polysix is one of KORG's most iconic analog synthesizers. It stood out for offering six-voice polyphony at a time when five voices were the norm, showcasing the engineers' ambition and craftsmanship. The Polysix featured built-in effects such as chorus, phaser, and ensemble, which were groundbreaking at the time. These elements combined to create its distinctive, rich sound that quickly made the instrument a global bestseller.

The Polysix V2 in the KORG Collection builds upon the original software emulation from 2004, enhanced for contemporary music production. It offers a high-resolution, scalable interface suitable for Retina and 4K displays, improving workflow and visual clarity. Two new multi-effects have been added, expanding its sonic palette while preserving the character of the original hardware.

Using KORG’s proprietary Component Modeling Technology (CMT), the Polysix V2 accurately recreates the analog circuitry and behavior of the original instrument. It includes 300 new presets, providing inspiration for a wide range of musical styles.
