zenAud.io ALK2 blends the functions of a looper and a sequencer to offer a unique live performance tool. It allows users to create and layer sound clips by looping them live, while also providing the flexibility to arrange these loops through drawing, moving, copying, and editing. This combination enables musicians to build complex musical arrangements in real time.

During performances, ALK2 automates the process by following the user's arrangement. It virtually presses pedals to arm channels, trigger effects, and manage the recording and playback of loops at precise moments. This automation lets artists focus on their creativity and performance without worrying about manual control of each loop or effect.

Designed for macOS 10.10 or higher and Windows 8.1 (64-bit) or higher, ALK2 supports VST and AU plugins with audio and MIDI looping capabilities. It features built-in quantization, beat repeat, and a novel automation system that sequences and alternates assignments. Additional tools like hover auditioning and a panic clip button help maintain smooth performance flow and quick recovery, making live composition and editing more intuitive.
