The Zen-Core Editor-Librarian is designed for Roland Fantom 6-7-8, Fantom-06/07/08, AX-Edge, and Jupiter-X/Xm synthesizers, offering comprehensive control over Zen-Core tones. It features an intuitive vector and resizable graphic interface that enables real-time editing with no noticeable latency. Users can adjust synthesis parameters across six subsections and manage 93 built-in effects. The editor provides a real-time graphical display of envelopes, keyboard, and velocity ranges, alongside macro controls that allow simultaneous adjustments of multiple partials, streamlining the sound design process.
In addition to deep synthesis editing, the software includes a 4-track step sequencer capable of producing melodic and rhythmic sequences using up to eight step LFOs and 128 steps. This functionality is synchronized with the scene BPM, enhancing creative possibilities. The library section supports management of up to 16,384 Zen-Core tones across eight libraries, with flexible clipboard and bank management for efficient organization. A proprietary algorithm converts sounds from Model Expansions such as JUNO-106, JX-8P, and JUPITER-8 into equivalent Zen-Core tones, expanding the sonic palette.
The Scene/Performance section offers detailed editing of scene parameters including volume, pan, sound selection, and synthesis offsets, along with effects like reverb, chorus, and delay. The Fantom version extends these capabilities by enabling full scene effect editing and part parameter adjustments. Available as a standalone software or bundled with the ZEN-Core B67 Collection1-2 sound library, which includes 215 Zen-Core tones and seven initial tones, this editor-librarian enhances workflow and sound customization for compatible Roland synthesizers.
