Once in a session, VSTunnel analyzes local audio changes, compresses them, and transmits the data to other participants, creating a seamless shared musical environment. Each participant hears a custom mix combining their own work with that of others, with the ability to adjust volumes or mute individual contributors for optimal balance. Communication is facilitated through an integrated chat feature, which can be muted or blocked if needed to maintain focus. Additionally, audio quality settings can be managed per participant, and you have the option to pause both uploading and downloading audio streams, allowing you to perfect your parts before sharing them.

VSTunnel also provides comprehensive session management tools. You can name your session, add descriptions, and control participant audio by adjusting volume levels, muting, looping sections, or exporting audio for offline use. The networking options allow you to optimize data flow by pausing uploads during practice phases or limiting download quality to conserve bandwidth.
