Synful Orchestra is an orchestral instrument plug-in designed to deliver highly expressive and realistic orchestral sounds. It utilizes a patented Reconstructive Phrase Modeling (RPM) technology that works with a comprehensive database of musical phrases for each instrument. Unlike traditional sample libraries that rely on isolated notes, Synful Orchestra employs complete musical passages capturing a wide range of articulations and phrasing styles.

When playing MIDI input, Synful Orchestra analyzes multiple parameters such as pitch, velocity, note duration, and modulation to determine the intended musical phrase. It then searches its phrase database for fragments that can be intelligently combined to recreate natural transitions, slurs, bowing techniques, runs, vibrato, and other expressive nuances. These phrase fragments are stretched and shifted in time and pitch to seamlessly form the final sound output, resulting in highly authentic orchestral performances.

Synful Orchestra’s advanced additive synthesis engine generates sounds from pure sine waves and noise elements, allowing it to splice multiple phrase fragments without introducing artifacts often heard in traditional sample splicing. This approach supports smooth note transitions and infinite note extensions without looping, all while maintaining a compact memory footprint. The instrument offers a variety of orchestral sections including woodwinds, brass, and strings with intuitive MIDI controls for vibrato, pitch slides, and expression, making it suitable for detailed and dynamic orchestral programming.
