Strum is designed to simplify spectral delay processing by splitting your audio signal into multiple clean and even frequency bands. Each band’s delay time and feedback can be precisely controlled through intuitive curve editing, providing a hands-on approach to shaping your sound. This setup allows for detailed delay manipulation across different parts of the frequency spectrum without altering the original tone.

The plugin operates in two modes: free and sync. In sync mode, each band’s delay time aligns with your DAW’s tempo and time signature, enabling rhythmically precise strumming effects that integrate seamlessly into your projects. Additionally, Strum offers a modulation panel where you can fine-tune delay times with options like flutter and random modes, adding movement and variation to your delays for richer textures.

Strum includes advanced features such as modulation skew, which biases modulation based on frequency, enhancing expressiveness across the spectrum. Its multi-crossover system uses a proprietary filter bank ensuring flat frequency and phase response, preserving the natural sound without unwanted coloration. For ease of use, the visual overlay showing delay time and feedback changes can be toggled off, maintaining a clean interface while still displaying band splits for accurate adjustments.
