Developed by Berlin-based producer and instrument designer Errorsmith, Razor reflects a commitment to expanding the boundaries of digital sound synthesis. Leveraging the latest features of Reaktor 5.5, it features a sophisticated synthesis engine alongside a real-time 3D spectrum display, allowing users to visualize sound in unprecedented detail. Razor offers up to 320 partials for intricate sound design, supported by dual oscillators with a wide range of timbres from analog-style waveforms to unconventional types like Primes and Hoover Sync. Its comprehensive filter section includes 20 filter models, such as formant and vowel filters, while unique dissonance effects add a distinctive sonic edge. The synthesizer also features a powerful 34-band vocoder capable of processing external audio. With an intuitive interface inspired by subtractive synthesis and a library of 350 presets, Razor is suited for electronic genres like Dubstep and Techno as well as modern scoring projects.
