Pianoscore Chung is a free virtual piano software designed for step-by-step MIDI composition, allowing users to easily compose, record, and edit MIDI music. It supports input from a MIDI keyboard and enables chord playing and control through specific piano keys. The program offers features such as optional quantization, saving and loading projects from the computer, and exporting or importing MIDI files, making it suitable for efficient music creation and arrangement.

This virtual piano utilizes the bass.dll library and features the MyPiano Chung acoustic piano sound, which was sampled from a real upright piano using a smartphone. The instrument spans seven octaves with two MP3 samples per octave, supporting full 88-note polyphony. It includes dynamic effects like reverb, chorus, and velocity sensitivity that react to the number of played notes and the sustain pedal, delivering a realistic piano experience within a compact program written in FreeBasic.

Additional functionalities enhance the creative process, including automatic score correction based on preloaded chord data, randomized chord variation during playback, and piano timbre cloning from short MP3 recordings. The software also incorporates algorithms to reduce audio clicks and filter samples for cleaner sound quality. These features combine to provide a practical, expressive tool for MIDI composition and piano sound experimentation.
