Mopar is a synthesizer that blends a phase distortion oscillator with a SoundFont-based oscillator to create a wide range of sounds, including rich and atmospheric pads. The first oscillator offers eight distinctive waveforms such as saw, square, pulse, and several resonant shapes, evolving into a pure sine wave when modulation is minimized. This modulation can be dynamically controlled through both a filter and an LFO, allowing for expressive tonal variations.
The second oscillator expands the sonic palette with six unique waveforms inspired by classic instruments like choir, brass, accordion, organ, dream, and strings. Both oscillators share a single ADSR amplitude envelope, enabling cohesive shaping of the sound’s attack, decay, sustain, and release. Users can independently adjust the volume levels of each oscillator, providing precise control over the blend and balance of tones.
Additional performance features include adjustable master volume, pitch bend range configurable between one and twelve semitones, and portamento time control for smooth transitions between notes. These settings enhance playability and make Mopar suitable for creating expressive leads, evolving textures, and immersive soundscapes across various musical styles.
