The Collective 8 Audio Unit Bundle features three distinct Audio Units: F8-V2, Mod8, and Res8, each designed to manipulate audio through amplitude modulation. The audio signal is split into eight identical streams, allowing unique amplitude modulation patterns to be applied individually. These patterns can be drawn freely using an intuitive editing interface that appears when hovering over the modulation areas, enabling precise control over the modulation shapes. Each stream also supports individual filters or effects, which are then blended back together to form the final output.

Each Audio Unit specializes in different effects to expand creative possibilities. F8-V2 offers LFOs that modulate highpass, bandpass, or lowpass filters, shaping the tonal characteristics of each stream. Res8 provides driven nonlinear multi-stage filters or formant filters that can be assigned independently to each channel, adding dynamic and vocal-like textures. Mod8 delivers a collection of modulation effects including vibrato, ring modulation, echo, reverb, sub-octave generation, and pitch shifting, enriching the sound with depth and movement.

Together, these plug-ins enable up to eight simultaneous effects running with individual amplitude sequences and settings, allowing for complex layering and sound design. This setup facilitates the creation of intricate, wild, or lush and textured effects such as reverbs, echoes, and chorus-like sounds. The bundle includes hundreds of presets to inspire users, and modulation patterns can be easily copied and pasted within or between the Audio Units, streamlining workflow and fostering experimentation.
