Mariana is a dual-layer synthesizer designed to blend two distinct sounds that can dynamically complement each other or be played duophonically. Each layer features two oscillators with detailed controls to craft bass tones that cut through a mix, enhanced by a sub-oscillator for added low-end depth. Two resonant Moog filters, along with a dedicated sub-oscillator filter, provide tonal shaping capabilities, allowing users to warm their sounds, control high frequencies, or add sharp resonance. The inclusion of stereo oscillators and crossover filter functionality ensures efficient stereo tuning while maintaining a solid mono bass foundation.

The synthesizer offers warm tube, tape, and overdrive saturation, complemented by a tight compressor that adds weight and cohesion to bass lines. Built-in delay and chorus effects operate on separate layers, expanding the stereo image while preserving a focused mono signal through high-pass filters. Mariana comes equipped with 200 presets, making it accessible for both sound design from scratch and quick inspiration. While optimized for bass, it is equally capable of producing strong leads, punchy percussion, and rich multidimensional effects, enabling the creation of complete tracks within a single instrument.

Featuring an intuitive and resizable interface, Mariana supports three LFOs, three envelopes, and two random generators per layer, all accessible through a deep modulation editor for evolving sounds. Nearly every parameter can be modulated internally via MIDI, MPE, and virtual CV, fostering an interconnected creative environment within any digital audio workstation. The instrument integrates seamlessly as a plugin, standalone app, or iPad app with an expressive on-screen keyboard, providing flexible options for producers seeking the classic Moog bass sound combined with modern workflow and sound design capabilities.
