Majoris Free is a unique synth-based arranger organ designed to boost creativity and assist songwriters and composers in quickly developing new ideas and melodies. It emulates the automatic accompaniment organ method found in hardware like the Korg PA900, featuring built-in drums, bass, and accompaniment oscillators that enable users to program and play styles directly from the instrument channel in a DAW without the need for extra MIDI routing or cables.
The instrument divides the keyboard into two zones: the right zone for solo playing and the left zone to control chords in fingered or one-finger mode. Each style includes six variation slots, such as intros, main variations, fills, and endings, which can be triggered via MIDI controllers, pads, or keyboard notes. Users can customize jump-to destinations and program styles using an internal style sequencer, supporting both minor and major variations with tempo options that sync to the DAW or remain independent.
Majoris Free incorporates synths and a drum sampler as its sound generators, offering deep editing capabilities for drum kits alongside straightforward bass and solo synth operation. While the free edition includes some limitations compared to the full Majoris version, like fewer variation slots and lack of solo MIDI out or individual audio outputs, it maintains the same core structure and style programming. This tool is intuitive with a moderate learning curve, making it a powerful resource for arranger organ enthusiasts and composers alike.
