LightPadSynth is a streamlined version of CubicPadSynth designed to offer efficient sound synthesis with a focus on clarity and performance. By removing pitch modulation features, it reduces processing demands while introducing a modulatable delay effect for each voice, adding unique depth and texture to your soundscapes. This approach maintains high-quality synthesis while optimizing resource usage for smoother operation.

The plugin incorporates several technical adjustments to enhance portability and flexibility. It uses a different FFT library for improved compatibility and switches to linear wavetable interpolation for more straightforward sound processing. Additionally, the filter design has been updated to a 3-pole IIR filter, and the LFO now modulates delay time instead of pitch, offering fresh modulation possibilities that contribute to distinctive audio effects.

Currently, LightPadSynth supports Linux with a focus on Ubuntu 22.04, while the macOS build remains experimental. Users interested in other distributions can refer to available build instructions.
