Kruud is a synthesizer that offers a creative approach to sound design with its drawable low-resolution oscillator. It provides five basic waveforms alongside pink and white noise options, plus the ability to create custom user waveforms. These waveforms can be manipulated through different modes such as phase modulation, pulse width modulation for square waves, and a unique morph mode that allows seamless transitions between shapes. The user waveform can blend or morph between two waveforms or apply pulse width modulation to enhance sonic flexibility.
This synth also features dual low-frequency oscillators, a sub-oscillator, and three ADSR envelopes to shape amplitude and modulation with precision. Its multimode filter adds further tonal control, allowing users to sculpt sounds effectively. Additionally, Kruud includes two delay units, one of which can be utilized for experimental physical modeling effects, expanding creative possibilities beyond conventional synthesis techniques.
For rhythmic and melodic variation, Kruud is equipped with an arpeggiator that facilitates dynamic pattern creation. The combination of its flexible oscillator design, modulation sources, and effects make it suitable for producing a wide range of electronic textures and evolving soundscapes. This synthesizer is ideal for those looking to experiment with waveform shaping and modulation in a streamlined, intuitive environment.
