Instrument Manager is a comprehensive solution for managing instrument libraries across both software and hardware samplers. It supports a wide array of instrument file formats including Kontakt, Structure, EXS24, Reason NNXT, HALion, MachFive, Independence, GigaStudio, SFZ, and Dimension. Additionally, it works seamlessly with various workstations such as Motif, Fusion, and Fantom, as well as legacy samplers from Akai, Roland, Emu, Ensoniq, Kurzweil, among others. This broad compatibility makes it an essential tool for musicians and producers who work with diverse sampler ecosystems.
The user interface is designed for intuitive browsing with an iTunes-style layout that simplifies searching and organizing instruments. Users can perform standard search queries and drag instruments directly from the interface into any compatible software sampler. Four customizable views allow users to explore their libraries from different perspectives. Compatibility extends across modern Windows and Mac operating systems, ensuring that users can manage virtually any instrument format without restrictions. Innovative features include advanced sample relinking technology that quickly fixes broken links, supports redirecting to new samples, and offers find-replace methods for sample renaming.
Instrument Manager also provides powerful databasing capabilities, allowing users to tag instruments with metadata and organize them into user-defined groups for easy retrieval. It supports multiple databases and can synchronize with other sampler database systems. Additional functionality includes tools for creating custom instrument banks, merging instruments, renaming files and internal objects, and auditioning sounds directly within the software. It also supports reading and writing proprietary disk formats from Akai, Roland, Emu, Ensoniq, and Kurzweil, making it a versatile asset for managing extensive instrument collections.
