Upon receiving a note, the software selects a sample based on adjustable probabilities and applies pitch-proportional playback rates. Users can directly control playback features such as loop mode, pitch shift, and detuning, while elements like sample switching and reverse playback introduce chance-based variations. Additional effects like random delay, frequency and ring modulation, digital distortion, delay, and unique reverb further shape the sound, resulting in rich and evolving textures.

AUXTURE also includes two second-order filters with adjustable cutoff, resonance, and gain, as well as various filter types including bandpass, notch, and shelf filters, enhancing sound sculpting possibilities. The default playback mode loops samples during the sustain phase, though users can disable this or modify the probabilities for sample changes and reverse playback to tailor the output.
