Bass Line is a refined stand-alone bass synthesizer inspired by classic 303-style instruments, built with a completely redesigned engine. It features a monophonic setup with one oscillator, one filter, and one amplifier, delivering authentic bass tones across a wide five-octave range. Users can choose between sawtooth and square waveforms, shaping the sound through a resonant low-pass filter with adjustable slope and resonance frequency. The envelope offers modulation options for dynamic expression, including decay and accent controls that produce characteristic bassline articulations.
This synthesizer includes an internal step sequencer capable of storing up to 128 patterns, each with up to 64 steps, allowing detailed bassline programming. Effects per step such as accent, slide, and pitch transposition add complexity and movement to sequences. The sequencer supports multiple time modes and a broad tempo range, with synchronization options to host applications ensuring tight timing. MIDI control is comprehensive, featuring full MIDI CC support with a learning function and two operational modes for pattern or note input, enhancing integration in various production setups.
Additional sound-shaping features include an analog tuning mode, an integrated distortion unit to add grit and character, and a high-pass filter for tonal refinement. Patterns can be imported and exported from related software, facilitating workflow continuity. The Bass Line synthesizer offers sample-accurate synchronization with VST hosts, making it a powerful tool for producers aiming to create rich, dynamic basslines with classic analog-inspired sound and modern sequencing flexibility.
