Alphatron is a synthesizer designed to deliver rich bass and high sequences, making it an ideal partner for ambient pads, atmospheres, and soundscapes. Unlike traditional virtual analog synths, Alphatron integrates a third oscillator featuring digital single-cycle waves, expanding its sonic range beyond classic analog emulations. This combination allows it to produce warm, analog-style tones reminiscent of iconic synths like the Moog and Prophet, while also exploring innovative digital textures.

The third oscillator also functions as a sync master for the second oscillator, adding complexity and unique character to the sound. Alphatron includes amplitude modulation with a dedicated output, using oscillator two as the main modulated source, influenced by either oscillator one or three. Oscillator one is a polywave oscillator capable of generating multiple waveforms simultaneously, enabling sounds such as Super Saw, Super Pulse, and Super Ramp, which contribute to the synth's dynamic and expressive nature.

A standout feature of Alphatron is its advanced step sequencer, which provides 8 plus 4 pattern slots for real-time pattern switching, enhancing live performance and creative sequencing. It supports two play modes and allows modulation of gate length and loop parameters, including alternate semitone offsets for varied repetition. Additional features include a range of effects like delay, reverb, saturation, and bass boost, along with multiple modulation sources and customizable envelopes, making Alphatron a powerful instrument for crafting detailed and evolving sounds.
