Alchemy WaveGen is a standalone Java application designed to create custom oscillator and LFO waveforms specifically for the Camel Audio Alchemy synthesizer. It features an integrated monophonic synthesizer, enabling users to hear the waveform modifications in real time. This setup provides an intuitive environment for sound design, allowing musicians and producers to craft unique waveforms tailored to their creative needs.

The software incorporates a flexible plug-in architecture, currently including two built-in plug-ins. The FM Generator offers a simple frequency modulation synthesizer with nine operators that can be connected in various configurations, giving users extensive control over sound shaping. The Audio File Reader plug-in allows the extraction of waveforms from AIF or WAV files, expanding the palette of sound sources available for waveform creation.

Alchemy WaveGen also provides advanced waveform manipulation tools such as mixing between four different waveforms and applying filtering options including highpass, lowpass, and comb filters. These features enable detailed shaping and transformation of waveforms, making it easier to develop complex sounds and textures.
