At the core of Wave Designer is a powerful math formula editor that enables the creation of complex waveforms using a variety of mathematical functions. Users can manipulate functions such as trigonometric, exponential, and random generators to shape distinctive sounds. Alongside this, the plugin features basic synthesizer controls including ADSR and filter envelopes, a lowpass filter, and master volume adjustments, allowing for further sound sculpting within the same interface.

Wave Designer also includes a visual node editing feature that lets users design waveforms by moving up to 128 individual nodes, providing precise control over waveform shape. This node-based editing is complemented by an approximation graph that visually represents the waveform curve, making the design process more intuitive. Once completed, waveforms can be exported in standard or custom sample lengths, ensuring compatibility with various synthesizers that support different waveform sizes.
