AcIdIc is a subtractive synthesizer designed to capture the classic acid basslines synonymous with Acid House and Psytrance genres. Its sound engine offers a selection of waveforms including sawtooth and square waves, as well as unique variants tailored for that distinctive acid tone. The addition of a sub oscillator enriches the sound by adding depth an octave below the main oscillator, enhancing the low-end presence.

The synthesizer features a dedicated 303-style filter with adjustable cutoff and resonance controls, allowing for dynamic tonal shaping reminiscent of vintage acid machines. A master section includes accent level controls, portamento/glide for smooth note transitions, distortion for added grit, and overall gain management. Users have access to an internal sequencer with adjustable speed and random sequence generation to create evolving patterns, complemented by a velocity-based gating system called the Groover, which can introduce rhythmic variations and accents.

AcIdIc also provides two envelope generators that modulate amplitude and filter parameters, adding expressiveness to the sound. Additional features include a comprehensive effects section with randomization options, a main LFO for further modulation possibilities, and a user-friendly preset manager that supports quick browsing, copying, and pasting of program settings. These tools combine to offer a powerful and intuitive platform for crafting authentic acid synth lines with ease.
