XEditor is a free software tool designed to provide comprehensive control over the Xenophone synthesizer directly within your digital audio workstation. It allows users to access and adjust every parameter of the synth engine remotely through MIDI messages, including Control Change and Non-Registered Parameter Number commands. The interface is thoughtfully designed to mirror the hardware layout, consolidating all controls into a single, easy-to-navigate window with informative readouts on most knobs for precise editing.

This editor enables seamless management of complex functions such as the modulation matrix and sequencer, making sound design and performance adjustments straightforward. Users can automate all 212 parameters, request patches from the Xenophone’s internal memory, and load or send System Exclusive files to transfer sounds between the hardware and editor efficiently. The software also supports saving and recalling programs in various formats, including sysex files, and allows renaming of patches remotely, enhancing workflow flexibility.

XEditor integrates smoothly into music production setups, running as either a standalone application or as a VST/AU plugin. It features true readouts for envelope and LFO rates, synchronization to the host’s tempo, and provides a set of 128 empty presets to get started. Additional controls such as pitch, modulation, and aftertouch wheels are also supported, making it a powerful companion for expanding the capabilities of the Xenophone synthesizer within a DAW environment.
