WaveAssault offers a comprehensive collection of 519 high-quality single-cycle waveforms spanning subtractive, FM, instrument modeling, chip sounds, granular, and additive synthesis. Unlike typical sampled instruments, the instrument modeling waveforms are designed to emulate real instruments when combined with the appropriate envelopes and filters. This extensive sound palette provides a rich foundation for crafting unique tones across various musical styles.

The synthesizer features four oscillators, each with dedicated amplitude envelopes, allowing precise control over sound shaping. A noise generator adds texture and depth to patches, while three filter options—including two two-pole state variable filters and a four-pole low pass filter—offer diverse tonal sculpting capabilities. Each filter comes with modulation envelopes and LFOs that synchronize with the host tempo, enabling dynamic and evolving sound design.

Additional features include warm drive distortion for adding character and grit, multiple polyphonic and monophonic voice modes with voice stealing options, and oversampling up to 32x to ensure pristine audio quality.
