The VST-AU Mopho KB Editor is a real-time MIDI synthesizer editor designed to provide comprehensive control over every sound parameter of the Dave Smith Instruments Mopho keyboard synthesizer. It offers a visual interface for managing and editing patches directly on your computer, enabling seamless patch programming within your preferred VST or AU host. This integration allows you to automate parameters and shape your synth sounds in real-time, enhancing your music production workflow by keeping everything inside your main environment. A standalone version is also available for users who prefer not to work within a DAW.
Featuring an advanced Patch Manager, the editor simplifies patch organization and customization. You can rename, rearrange, and manage patches with drag-and-drop ease, supporting copy, swap, and move operations. The manager identifies duplicate patches, offers options to clear duplicates, and includes an undo function for safe editing. Batch operations such as randomizing or clearing patches and banks streamline creative experimentation. Importing and exporting patches is straightforward using standard formats like .FXB, .FXP, and .SYX, ensuring compatibility with other software and hardware setups.
The editor also provides detailed MIDI input and output monitoring, allowing you to view and analyze all MIDI data passing through the editor and host. Its flexible MIDI setup enables direct selection of MIDI ports and filtering of specific MIDI messages, overcoming common limitations found in many host applications. This level of control supports complex configurations and multiple instances of the editor for managing several synthesizers simultaneously, making it a powerful tool for precise MIDI and patch management.
