VOX Continental-V revives the iconic sounds of the 1960s Vox Continental 300 organ through an authentic software emulation compatible with Mac OS X and Windows. Originally launched in 1962, the Vox Continental gained legendary status for its distinctive tone and stage presence, becoming a staple for touring musicians and featuring prominently on classic tracks by The Animals, The Doors, and The Beatles. This software captures the character and spirit of the original instrument, delivering vintage organ sounds beloved by musicians and fans alike.
The VOX Continental-V offers a detailed recreation of the dual manual setup with upper and lower manuals, along with bass pedal sections. It includes multiple output effects processors and supports MIDI splits or independent channels per manual for enhanced control and flexibility. Users can choose between classic skins reminiscent of the original Vox designs, while tight integration with MIDI controller keyboards ensures a smooth and expressive playing experience. The software is available in various plugin formats as well as a standalone version to suit different production environments.
Advanced features include Expanded Mode, which introduces a full set of drawbars for each harmonic, new waveform drawbars, and a range of effects such as vibrato, tremolo, reverb, and overdrive. Leslie and guitar amp simulator outputs add depth and authenticity to the sound, alongside an expanded percussion section with adjustable decay times. Services Mode enhances realism by allowing individual pitch tuning, key contact timing adjustments, and background noise bleed control, faithfully replicating the quirks of the original Vox and Jennings models. This combination of vintage sound and modern flexibility makes VOX Continental-V an essential tool for recreating classic organ tones.
