The software includes new virtual audio drivers that deliver improved audio quality with optimized CPU usage. It is fully compatible with a broad range of Windows operating systems, from Windows XP through Windows 10, including server versions. Voicemeeter Potato supports both 32-bit and 64-bit Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) through virtual ASIO drivers, enabling smooth integration with professional audio setups. Additionally, it features a Virtual ASIO insert driver for processing pre-fader inputs with VST plugins, expanding creative possibilities.

Featuring an 8-bus multi-layer mixer, Voicemeeter Potato allows users to create independent mixes for each bus, enhancing flexibility in managing audio signals. The built-in effects include reverb and multitap delay, making it suitable for musicians and small bands. External effects can be integrated through dedicated send and return paths. The interface displays connected applications with individual volume and mute controls, similar to the Windows Volume Mixer.
