Her voice excels at delivering sweet and pure lead vocals, harmonies, and backing parts, capable of singing any word in English and other languages with some adaptation. Sonika’s voice offers a broad range of expressive possibilities, making her suitable for both straightforward vocal lines and more adventurous, experimental sound shaping.

Sonika features advanced vocal control that allows users to create smooth legato transitions across sustained vowels and voiced consonants, enhancing the natural flow of melodies. Multiple types of natural vibrato can be applied to any note with drag-and-drop ease, and vibrato parameters such as timing and depth are fully adjustable. In addition, Sonika provides detailed control over syllables, note timing, volume, attack, pitch bends, glides, resonance, harmonics, brightness, and vocal character, enabling producers to craft highly customized vocal performances.

Powered by the Vocaloid 2 Editor, Sonika benefits from an improved user interface that simplifies the process of arranging vocal parts. The editor includes a piano-roll style note editor with automatic phonetic conversion and note auditioning, allowing for real-time preview of lyrics with pitch. Integration with host sequencers via ReWire and a transparent control track for simultaneous parameter editing streamline workflow.
