VirtualKeyboard is a flexible virtual keyboard designed for use as an Instrument, MIDI Effect plugin, or standalone application. It features a resizable layout that visually displays multi-channel MIDI notes, making it ideal for visualizing harmony, learning songs, or showcasing playing in video demos. Users can also send notes by clicking or tapping on the keys, which is especially helpful if a MIDI controller is unavailable. The package includes a free acoustic piano sound, enhancing its usability right out of the box.

Beyond its role as a visual keyboard, VirtualKeyboard serves as a live MIDI looper, allowing users to tap tempo, record, play, and loop MIDI play-alongs within any digital audio workstation (DAW). It offers customizable time and key signatures, with quick transposition features that eliminate the need to open a DAW for adjustments. The software supports advanced visual options such as sustained note fading, multi-channel note muting and soloing, and visualization of sustain pedals, all contributing to a clearer understanding of MIDI data during playback.
