The blooo is a polyphonic software synthesizer designed for both Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS platforms. It is built on the classic subtractive synthesis model, offering a rich and dynamic sound palette. The synth supports up to 64 voices of polyphony, including Unison mode and portamento, allowing for thick, layered textures and smooth pitch transitions. Its architecture features two band-limited oscillators with multiple waveform options such as sawtooth, pulse, sawpulse, sine, and triangle, each with shape control to tailor the sound further.

In addition to the oscillators, the blooo includes a white noise generator and two multi-mode four-pole zero-delay feedback filters. These filters offer various modes including lowpass, highpass, bandpass, allpass, and phaser, each equipped with resonance and panorama controls for precise tone shaping. The synthesizer also provides three ADSR envelopes with exponential slopes and three tempo-synchronized low-frequency oscillators (LFOs) to add movement and modulation depth. This combination of features allows for complex and expressive sound design possibilities.

Written in native C++ code, the blooo ensures high performance and efficient CPU usage, making it suitable even for less powerful systems. It supports MTS-ESP dynamic micro-tuning, expanding its capabilities for microtonal music. The user interface is resizable, enhancing workflow comfort, and all parameters can be controlled via MIDI CC with MIDI Learn functionality.
