It features three oscillators capable of producing triangle, saw, and variable width pulse waveforms, allowing for a broad palette of classic synth tones. Each oscillator includes coarse and fine tuning options for precise pitch control, enhancing its adaptability for various musical styles.

The synth incorporates flexible filtering options with low and high pass filters assigned per oscillator, along with a selectable 12, 18, or 24 dB low pass resonant filter. This filter includes a drive control with soft clipping for added warmth and character. Modulation envelopes and velocity sensitivity further shape the filter and amplifier responses, providing expressive performance capabilities.

TFX-mB3 offers advanced envelope controls including retrigger and legato modes, plus portamento for smooth pitch transitions. The amplifier section also features a drive parameter with soft clipping, contributing to a saturated, analog-inspired sound.
