Tatapoum 4 is a dynamic drum sampler and pattern sequencer designed to enhance your beat-making experience. It offers three modes of operation: drum sampler, pattern sequencer, or a combination of both. The drum sampler includes 10 individual drum sounds, each with controls for solo, mute, loading, and previewing samples. Users can adjust pan, playback length, direction, and envelope settings, alongside pitch and velocity-based modulation features that add expressive dynamics to your rhythms.

The sampler also incorporates advanced velocity controls that influence pitch bending, tone filtering, and sample start positions, allowing intricate shaping of drum hits. Unique linking options for specific drum pairs enable alternate or random triggering for varied rhythmic patterns, while exclusive pairs ensure that triggering one drum stops the other, adding creative control to your sequences. These features combine to provide a rich palette for crafting detailed and dynamic drum tracks.

Tatapoum 4’s pattern sequencer includes 16 pads for adding or removing triggers, velocity adjustments, and effect application. It houses five built-in effects, including flam rolls, feedback rolls, and reverse effects, spread across four pattern banks totaling 32 patterns. The sequencer supports shuffle, pulse divide, and up to 16 steps per pattern, with pattern chaining and forward or reverse playback direction for extended rhythmic arrangements. Available as a Windows VST instrument and SynthEdit project source file, Tatapoum 4 offers a comprehensive toolset for drum programming and sequencing.
