SpatStrument FX24 is a multichannel effects processor designed to integrate sound and spatial design seamlessly. Unlike typical multichannel plugins that apply uniform processing across standard spatial formats, this tool offers the freedom to explore complex speaker arrangements with up to 32 channels. Built on Acousmodules's Scatter series, it allows intuitive control over hundreds of parameter values, enabling detailed modulation of effects such as pitch shifting, frequency shifting, delay, multimode filtering, and reverberation in both surround and stereo outputs.

This plugin supports multiple operational modes, including Direct Channels Mode for processing input from other plugins and Spatialized Mode, which distributes the effects chain across up to 24 spatial points. Users can animate and arrange these points in 3D space, utilizing basic shapes like spheres and planes or more complex configurations. The system includes four global LFO modulators and a wired patch system for dynamic parameter animation, as well as a multichannel soft limiter to manage feedback. Compatibility features ensure smooth integration with common immersive audio formats such as Atmos and acousmoniums.

SpatStrument FX24 offers extensive customization with global matrix controllers for easy parameter management and supports import/export of spatial configuration settings. While highly capable, users should note potential CPU load during pitch processing animations and some limitations on macOS, including a simplified pitch processor and reverberation without frequency shifting. A truncated version is also available for DAWs that do not support plugins with more than 24 channels, ensuring broader usability across different production environments.
