SoundDesk 5 transforms your Mac into a professional-grade mixing console, ideal for audio professionals, broadcasters, and musicians alike. It supports a wide range of applications, from live mixing and streaming to recording performances, offering flexible routing and mixing capabilities that adapt to various digital audio setups.

The software provides extensive routing options, allowing each channel to receive any input and send audio to any output, master section, or auxiliary. Channels can be configured as mono, stereo, auxiliary receivers, or MIDI instruments, with seamless switching between modes. Mixing support includes up to 99x2 input paths and 102x2 output paths, along with 16x2 auxiliary sends per channel. Each channel features built-in tools such as DC blockers, noise or wave generators, delay units, and customizable naming and color coding. Monitoring is enhanced with integrated PPM meters on all channels and the master section.

SoundDesk 5 hosts up to 8 Audio Units per channel and 12 on the master section, enabling integration of favorite plugins. It includes 16 built-in processing and metering inserts powered by the cDSP Engine, covering a broad range of effects like compressors, EQs, reverb, and more. Multitrack recording is supported with options for pre- or post-processing, exporting to multiple file formats. MIDI control is streamlined through compatibility with Mackie Control, HUI, and standard CC devices, featuring a simple MIDI mapping system for efficient device communication.
