Skalenmeister is a MIDI effect designed to ensure that all incoming notes conform to a selected scale and key, providing seamless harmonic consistency. Beyond note correction, it can generate chords from single notes, adding depth and complexity to simple melodies. This chord generation includes a basic strumming effect, enhancing the natural feel and rhythmic variation of the output.

Users can customize the fourth note in seventh and suspended chord types, allowing for creative variations such as add9 chords or other extensions. The strum delay within the four-note chord can be adjusted both upwards and downwards, offering control over the timing and feel of the chord's articulation. Additionally, the root key for scale enforcement can be set dynamically based on the incoming note or assigned via a secondary MIDI channel, giving flexible control over harmonic direction.

Included with Skalenmeister is Polymeister, a companion plugin that applies scale correction to polyphonic MIDI input without chord generation. This tool is ideal for ensuring that complex chords and multi-note passages remain within a specified scale, expanding the creative possibilities for producers and performers aiming for precise tonal accuracy.
