Sigmund 2 is a high-quality delay plugin featuring four independent delay lines that can be combined in nine different routing topologies, allowing users to create complex delay effects with ease. Each delay line offers precise control over delay times down to 0.1 milliseconds, enabling traditional echo effects as well as chorus and flanger sounds without any artifacts. The plugin includes stereo input modes, channel setups, and an internal mixer for seamless transitions between configurations, making it suitable for a wide range of audio processing tasks.
Each delay line incorporates an overdrive module with preliminary dynamics control, which can add rich multi-band distortion or dynamic effects when combined across all four lines. In addition, a multimode filter can be applied either inside or outside the feedback loop to shape the sound further, producing effects like wah-wah, vowel filters, or phaser-like tones. The flexible modulation system includes four multipurpose modulators capable of influencing filter cutoff, delay time, and volume through LFOs, envelopes, or peak followers, all of which can be triggered by MIDI or audio transients to create dynamic and evolving soundscapes.
Sigmund 2 also offers advanced features such as tempo-synced modulation, adjustable stereo spread, and a master limiter to maintain audio clarity. Its user interface supports multiple screen sizes and high-resolution displays, with MIDI learning functionality for easy hardware integration. The plugin's design focuses on delivering artifact-free delay processing combined with extensive modulation and routing options, making it a powerful tool for sound designers and musicians seeking to expand their creative possibilities in delay-based effects.
