Scrollscope is a multi-channel oscilloscope and frequency analyzer designed to provide detailed visual feedback for audio signals. It supports one main input along with five auxiliary or side channel inputs, all of which can be displayed simultaneously in either oscilloscope or frequency analyzer modes. The interface includes a toggle focus feature that highlights individual lines for easier tracking, and it offers beat and bar syncing with your digital audio workstation (DAW) to keep visuals aligned with your music production.
This tool is equipped with scaling controls for the oscilloscope and adjustable time settings for the frequency analyzer, allowing users to tailor the display to their needs. It supports various DAWs by offering different time-tracking options, including an alternate sync mode. Scrollscope also comes as a standalone application compatible with Windows, enabling audio input selection and sample rate adjustments. While the standalone version offers core functionality, auxiliary input setup is primarily intended for plugin use within a DAW environment.
Upon first launch, Scrollscope creates a configuration file where users can customize color themes, enhancing the user interface experience. The default color scheme provides clear visualization with distinct colors assigned to each input line and background elements. Developed using the Nih-Plug Rust Library and the egui GUI framework, Scrollscope combines efficient performance with a clean, user-friendly design for real-time audio analysis.
