At the core of ScandiSoul 2 is a high-quality 32-bit oscillator engine offering seven distinct waveforms per oscillator. These waveforms capture the essence of legendary soul organ tones and can be blended to produce a wide range of textures and articulations. Each oscillator includes intuitive global high-pass and low-pass filters, complemented by a carefully modeled rotary speaker emulation, drawbars for detailed frequency shaping, and a comprehensive effects rack to enrich the sound.

ScandiSoul 2 enhances depth and expression through its advanced modulation options. It features two independent envelopes assigned per oscillator, a custom rotary speaker module with separate send controls, and an internal side-chaining system that brings clarity and polish to mixes. The inclusion of drawbars allows precise control over the harmonic content, while the built-in effects section provides essential tools such as cabinet simulation, chorus, phaser, wah, reverb, delay, and a unique gleam effect to complete the sonic palette.
