Repeater is a vintage-modeled delay plug-in developed through the collaboration between D16 Group and Slate Digital. It offers the ability to emulate the sound and behavior of 23 different classic delay units, covering a wide range of sonic possibilities. Users can explore delay types from early cassette tape decks and bucket brigade analog delays to renowned vintage digital designs, capturing authentic textures from various eras of audio technology.
The plug-in includes models inspired by iconic devices such as early 80's Japanese cassette tape decks, 70's tape delays, and early analog bucket brigade delays. It also features unique delay tones like lo-fi telephone sounds, FM and AM radio-style effects, and pitch-modulated delays that create expansive spatial atmospheres. This comprehensive collection covers a broad spectrum, from clean digital delays to warm, vintage tape emulations, enabling producers to craft distinctive delay effects with character.
While Repeater functions as a stereo delay effect processor with separate control over left and right channels, it extends beyond ordinary stereo delays by offering independent re-panning and dry/wet mix control on each channel. This design allows it to operate as a dual delay line effect, providing greater depth and flexibility in shaping the stereo image and the overall delay presence in a mix.
