The Reflex Pre-Limiter is an automatic multiband soft clipper designed to enhance your mix by adding weight and presence, particularly to low-end elements, drums, and the master bus. It splits the incoming audio into eight frequency bands using precise crossovers and applies fast-acting look-ahead compression combined with soft clipping tailored to each band. This approach allows for smooth peak control while preserving the natural character of your sound.

By redistributing energy from higher to lower voltage peaks, the Reflex Pre-Limiter enables subsequent limiters to work more efficiently and push the signal harder with reduced distortion artifacts. This effect introduces subtle harmonic distortion that can bring clarity and separation to individual elements in a mix without aggressively reducing peak levels. The plugin automatically sets threshold levels based on the signal's peak content, making setup quick and intuitive.

Additional features include automatic gain staging and make-up gain for each frequency band to maintain a balanced tonal response, as well as a parallel processing option with a dry/wet mix control. The plugin supports oversampling for higher audio fidelity on standard sample rates and processes stereo channels independently.
