10k+ plugins and counting. It's free.
PreAMPed is a plugin crafted to emulate the distinctive analog character of hardware preamplifiers. It captures subtle EQ response curves, low- and high-frequency saturation, crosstalk, and noise, along with transformer and coil impulse responses. The plugin also reflects saturation and EQ changes that occur with varying gain levels, providing a realistic and musical enhancement to audio tracks. Its design incorporates over forty parameters, allowing users to fine-tune each preamp module for precise tonal shaping.
This plugin offers 13 different preamp models, a drive control, and multiple saturation algorithms to add warmth and depth. It includes a 4-band EQ, phase switch, and options for swapping left and right signals. Input trim and output gain controls are available alongside an output clipper to manage signal levels effectively. Additional features include mid/side processing, oversampling options up to 8x, and visual metering for both input and output signals, making it suitable for both individual tracks and full mixes.
PreAMPed supports a wide range of plugin formats including VST, VST3, RTAS, and AAX for Windows and macOS platforms. It requires Windows XP SP3 or later with an SSE2-compatible processor or macOS 10.5 or newer with an Intel processor. An iLok device is necessary for AAX format usage. A fully functional demo version is available for trial, with occasional bypass interruptions. The plugin can be purchased for $54.95, providing an affordable means to bring analog preamp characteristics into digital productions.
