Pianotone 600 is a plugin inspired by the distinctive analog piano sound of the 1970s electronic keyboard, the Jen Pianotone 600. Known for its unique tonal character, the original instrument lacked touch sensitivity, which is reflected in the plugin’s design. Pianotone 600 offers two playing modes: the classic original mode that preserves the authentic feel, and an amplitude velocity mode that introduces dynamic response for more expressive performances.

This plugin features a rich collection of samples, totaling 10 MB of high-quality 16-bit, 44.1kHz mono WAV files that capture the vintage sound in detail. It includes a multi-LFO system for modulation, along with a suite of effects such as distortion, delay, chorus, and reverb to shape and enhance the sound further. Additional controls like highpass and lowpass filters and amplitude range adjustments provide flexibility in tone sculpting.

Pianotone 600 supports multiple voice modes including polyphonic, monophonic, and legato, allowing for a variety of playing styles and musical expressions. Its availability as both a standalone plugin and as a library compatible with Decent Sampler and Kontakt gives producers and musicians flexible options for integrating this classic sound into their projects.
