The P915 MEDUSA Fixed Filter Bank is designed to enhance synthesizer signals by adding or removing harmonics at precise frequencies, offering a broad range of sonic possibilities. It allows musicians to explore new soundscapes or refine traditional tones by leveraging unique voltage controls and filter characteristics not found in conventional instruments. This filter can subtly shape the signal or dramatically alter it, providing users with creative tools for both familiar and experimental music production.
Modeled after the original Moog 915 Fixed Filter Bank, the P915 MEDUSA captures the warmth and interaction of vintage inductor-based filters. Unlike many modern designs that rely on active semiconductor components, this filter replicates the original analog circuitry with remarkable accuracy, preserving the unique tonal qualities that were often lost in digital or solid-state adaptations. The software version faithfully reproduces the hardware’s two-stage design and adds innovative features like independent output routing for each filter band, enhancing stereo imaging and creative mixing options.
The filter bank includes fourteen fixed-frequency filters covering a wide frequency range, with the ability to split into two separate banks for left and right channel processing. This split arrangement offers octave-spaced bands that enrich the spatial and tonal palette of any audio source. A wet-dry crossfader and voltage-controlled panning provide precise control over the blend and positioning of processed signals. Zero latency performance ensures seamless integration into any production environment, making the P915 MEDUSA a powerful and flexible tool for sound shaping.
