Additional features like a third oscillator functioning as an audio-rate LFO, multiple keyboard modes, and a comprehensive 8-step sequencer expand its sound design possibilities further. The instrument also incorporates new effects including a stereo delay and a rich reverb, alongside a Drum Mode that transforms the SEMs into an analog-style drum machine, complete with dedicated drum kits, broadening its use in various musical contexts.

A collaboration with Tom Oberheim and original Oberheim engineer Marcus Ryle helped refine the OB-E, resulting in the addition of a Vintage control that introduces subtle pitch variations to emulate the original hardware’s character more closely. The latest version supports both macOS and Windows, featuring over 700 carefully crafted presets that are easily navigable through a librarian interface.
