Nocturna is a wavetable FM synthesizer designed for Microsoft Windows that offers extensive sound design capabilities. Featuring two wavetable oscillators and dual LFOs, it provides a solid foundation for crafting unique sounds. The instrument also includes sub oscillators and a comprehensive sound library with over 100 presets, offering a wide range of sonic starting points and ongoing expansion possibilities.

The core of Nocturna’s sound engine lies in its wavetable manipulation, which allows users to shape and create custom waveforms, then save them for later use. Each oscillator benefits from individual envelopes and filters, expanding the creative potential. Additionally, a wave generator can load and play 24-bit wav files, which can be used to modulate other oscillators, adding depth and complexity to the sound.

Nocturna also boasts an advanced modulation section with two LFOs and an LFO matrix that enables flexible routing to various parameters. The X/Y mappable envelope generator provides expressive control by assigning attack, decay, sustain, and release to an X/Y pad for dynamic modulation. A powerful effects engine rounds out the package, featuring a four-band equalizer, reverb, delay, chorus, and compressor, all of which can be reordered via an intuitive matrix for tailored sound processing.
