The BST100 V2 Super Overdrive Guitar Amplifier plugin is a meticulously redesigned version of the original Nembrini Audio BST100, inspired by the legendary USA High Gain Holy Grail amplifier introduced in 1987. Known for its distinctive tone that suits a wide range of genres from heavy metal to pop, this all-valve guitar head delivers a powerful and dynamic sound. It features a dual-channel design with independent preamps, a three-band equalizer with presence control, and separate master volumes for each channel, making it an essential tool for modern guitarists seeking authentic amplifier tones.
This plugin captures the essence of the classic amplifier with two channels powered by four virtual 12AX7 tubes, providing everything from crystal-clear cleans to creamy crunch tones on the Normal channel, along with a Boost channel that offers the famed high-gain sound of the 90s. The included recording chain emulation enhances the experience with six finely tuned guitar amplifier cabinets, four microphone models with adjustable positioning, and a mixer section that allows blending multiple mics and room ambience for a rich, lifelike sound. Users can also import their own cabinet impulse responses or bypass the plugin’s recording chain to use external equipment.
Additional features include a noise gate and cleaner circuit to manage unwanted noise and maintain clarity, as well as an impulse loader capable of handling multiple third-party impulse responses with comprehensive controls for volume, pan, phase, and muting. The intuitive browser makes navigating IR files straightforward, providing flexibility in tone shaping. With its detailed modeling and user-friendly interface, the BST100 V2 Super Overdrive Guitar Amplifier plugin brings the character and power of a classic high-gain amp into any digital studio setup.
