10k+ plugins and counting. It's free.
The Multimeter is a powerful plugin and standalone application designed for precise measurement and monitoring of loudness, peaks, and dynamics. It supports ITU and EBU compliant integrated loudness in LUFS, peak and true peak measurements, as well as Loudness Range (LRA), Peak to Short-term Ratio (PSR), and Peak to Loudness Ratio (PLR). Users can analyze audio in real-time or accelerate the process up to 200 times faster using the audio and video file analysis mode. To simplify workflows, the Multimeter offers presets tailored for popular streaming platforms and region-specific loudness standards.
The interface is resizable and scalable, featuring customizable graphs, bar charts, and a list viewer that displays tabulated numerical measurement results. These graphs can be freely scrolled and zoomed, and the sorting order in the list viewer can be adjusted even during active measurements. Users can export the measurement data as a CSV file for further analysis or documentation. After a measurement, the built-in gain function automatically adjusts the audio to a targeted loudness level, with a manual gain slider available for fine-tuning. All visual indicators and numerical values update instantly to reflect any changes, while true peak over-indicators dynamically adapt in response to gain adjustments.
The Multimeter supports surround sound layouts with up to 64 channels, automatically determining channel weighting for loudness measurement based on the provided surround configuration or metadata. Alternatively, users can set the weighting manually if desired. Its efficient CPU usage and unique synchronization features enable fast creation of initial mixes by synchronizing multiple instances across tracks. A novel undo/redo mechanism for gain adjustments enhances workflow flexibility, making the Multimeter a reliable tool for detailed loudness control in both stereo and complex surround setups.
